Information on the battery law (BattG):
The Battery law (BattG) governs the sale, return and environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and accumulators (rechargeable batteries). In connection with the sale of batteries and rechargeable batteries or with the delivery of equipment containing batteries and accumulators, we are a seller obligated to draw your attention to the following:
Batteries do not belong in household waste. A disposal in the ordinary household waste is prohibited and violates the Battery law. As an end user you are legally obligated to return used batteries and accumulators. You can return batteries after use to us as retailers or in the designated collection points (for example in municipal collection or local trade) without charge. Purchased batteries and accumulators from us, you can yield directly with us or return by post in sufficiently stamped form to the address given below:
BB Sport GmbH & Co. KG
84513 Toeging am Inn
Batteries and accumulators containing hazardous substances are labeled clearly with the symbol of a crossed out wheelie bin. Under the symbol of the crossed out wheelie bin, the chemical name of the relevant pollutants is located.
The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meanings:
- The symbol of the crossed out wheeled bin means that the battery should not be placed in household waste;
- Pb = Battery contains more than 0,004 mass percent lead
- Cd = Battery contains more than 0,002 mass percent cadmium
- Hg = Battery contains more than 0,0005 mass percent mercury
By returning the batteries and accumulations, you pervade the legal obligation and make a contribution to environmental protection.
