The chest ascender by Alpidex – a strong and efficient ascender for ascending on a fixed rope. As the body is made of light aluminium, it promises a consequent weight reduction. The high quality friction plate, which is made of stainless steel, avoids unnecessary friction on your rope. This ensures a longer life span of your rope. This ascender is suitable for ropes with a diameter of 8 – 13 mm for hauling and for ropes with a diameter of 10 – 13 mm for self-belaying.
